Growing a Green Thumb at the Buena Park Library

Learn How to Be a Successful Gardener

A Program at the Buena Park Library

The Buena Park Library is offering a series of 3 programs called “Growing a Green Thumb: Gardening: A Family Affair” the second Saturday of the month in February, April and June. Join us to learn what it takes to be successful in gardening and how gardening can have a great personal impact.

The Saturday program dates are:

  • February 11, 2012 : 10am-11am
  • April 14, 2012 : 10am-11am
  • June 9, 2012 : 10am-11am

There will be discussions on many gardening topics, including how to manage your soil, how to compost, how to select trees and prune them correctly, how to plant edibles, and much, much more.

The presenter is Robert Shaw, a member and past president of The Orange County Independent Master Gardeners. Master Gardeners receive 50+ hrs of classroom training and volunteer 50+ hrs of hands-on tutoring to be certified.

This program will be in the Board Room on the 2nd floor of the Library. No reservations are required. The program is for all ages and a great opportunity to learn about how to “grow your green thumb”.
