Are You a Poet and Don't Know It? Attend the Poetry Writing Workshop at the Buena Park Library

Join Juan Farias Alvarez, poet and author, who will be conducting a 4-week poetry writing workshop at the Buena Park Library. Mark your calendar for Thursday, March 3, 10, 17 and 31, 2011 at 6:30 pm and learn how to unleash your inner poet.

Alvarez will instruct future and current poets how to get your poems published, how to improve your poetry skills, and give tips and tricks that he has learned as a published poet. At the end of the 4 week session, all participants will receive a book of poems written by the workshop poets.

This workshop is free and open to all interested teens & adults. No registration is required.

Consumer Workshop at the Buena Park Library

On Saturday, March 5, 2011 the Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Orange County will present a workshop at the Buena Park Library on Renters: Rights and Responsibilities. The workshop will be presented at 10:30 am to 12 noon in English and will be followed by a Spanish version from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm.

The workshop addresses the rental process from inspecting the potential rental unit through the signing of the rental/lease agreement. Rental payments, security deposits, repairs, privacy issues, and the eviction process will be discussed.

The Consumer Credit Counseling Service is the nation's oldest and largest credit counseling organization and is a member of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling.

This workshop is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
