Children, ages 2-12, are invited to Make a Splash...Read by joining the Summer reading club for a summer filled with reading, prizes, entertainment, and fun. The Children's Summer Reading Club begins June 19th with a kick-off celebration from 2:00-4:00 pm that will include a petting zoo, face painting, games, and more. On Thursday evenings all summer long, the Library will host special entertainment programs for families including magicians, jugglers, storytellers, and more.
Teens, grades 7-12, can Make Waves--READ for a summer of reading, prizes, game tournaments and more. Sign-ups for the Teen Summer Reading Club begin on June 18, 2010 with a kick-off celebration from 2:30-4:00 pm that will include Wii and board games, food and prizes. Teens will have a chance to participate in a variety of video and board game tournaments during the summer, as well as, a special after-hours Amazing Race on August 14th.
Adults, 18 and over, have their own summer reading program, Water Your Mind--READ, where they have a chance to win one of many great end-of-summer gift baskets. The Adult Summer Reading Program begins on June 19th.All reading programs continue through August 14, 2010. This summer you will also be able to sign up and track your reading progress online.
